I’m a big believer in doing that makes you happy. Unfortunately lying in bed all day watching TV, and eating pizza doesn’t pay my bills. So, I decided to pursue my second dream job: entertainment. Okay, fine stand-up comedy, acting and writing doesn’t pay so well either (yet) but it makes me beyond happy. Wonder what kind of jobs do the happiest people in the U.S. have? A University of Chicago study, “Job Satisfaction in the United States,” offers some insight.
The study says the occupations where people report being happy overall, not just in terms of job satisfaction, involve helping others, technical and scientific expertise, or creativity.Tom W. Smith, director of the General Social Survey at the National Opinion Research Center at UC, elaborates: “Happiness is determined by how much satisfaction you get from all domains of life, and work is an important domain, so it’s one of the major components of overall happiness.”- Yahoo.com HotJobs

If you love someone, you probably don’t want to give them a gift made under hateful conditions. Sadly, most common valentines day gifts– flowers, chocolate, and jewelry– are likely to involve child labor, child slavery, violence, human rights abuses and environmental degradation. But don’t worry. You don’t have to swear off of gift-giving. Nor do you have to give your valentine a handmade dream catcher, a hemp hacky sack or a recycled nalgene to say I love you guilt-free. Instead, say I love you– and children, and the earth, and workers– by buying fair trade chocolates, flowers, and jewelry. Buy something your valentine can really love you for. And come back next week for my valentine gifts with heart top 10 list.
