Ten years ago, the band Wilco teamed up with the musician Billy Bragg to record Mermaid Avenue, an album setting unused Woody Guthrie lyrics to music.  Though perhaps debatable (not actually up for debate), the best track to come off that album might be “California Stars.”  What’s that?  You’d like to see a video of it performed live by Wilco?  Well, sure thing!

What’s that you’re saying now?  You’d like to see Wilco live, based on how amazing that performance was?  Well, they don’t have too many tour dates coming up, but here they are.  Yet almost as exciting as all this is that Wilco now dedicates a portion of its website to connecting people that have and need rides to the show.

Radiohead say you best reuse that plastic bottle, mister.Music festivals such as Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco are doing their best to ensure that these behemoths of show are leaving the environment green after the music is done. Lollapalooza, scheduled for August 1-3, and Treasure Island, slated for September 20-21, both are touting their efforts concerning environmental awareness.
