America’s Next Top Model always struck me as a scary combination of two dangerous elements, reality TV and modeling (no offense, Tyra). But I never knew it could be life-threatening– until I heard about the woman who was stabbed because she was talking during the show.

A woman who suffered life-threatening stab wounds to her chest and neck Wednesday allegedly was attacked by another woman who had been upset that she was too loud while watching America’s Next Top Model.

Police say the 42-year-old victim and her friends were in a Columbia City apartment drinking beer and watching the reality show hosted by former supermodel Tyra Banks, in which women compete for a chance to launch their modeling careers. The alleged attacker, an acquaintance of the victim, told the other woman to stop talking loudly…. When the “Top Model” fan refused, police say the other woman then opened the apartment door and told her to get out… the argument then turned physical, with one woman having a clump of her hair pulled out.

Tyra Banks and NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg got down and dirty this week as they did their part to bring more trees to New York City. They were working with MillionTreesNYC - a group that plans to increase the green in the big apple by planting 1 million trees over the next decade :

Why Plant A Million Trees?

New York City is growing! You can see it”and feel it”in every neighborhood in every borough. It’s exciting, and it’s what makes New York the greatest city in the world. But, like in any thriving metropolis, it’s important to make sure the Big Apple and its residents”meaning you!”are healthy and happy while adjusting to the growth and the many changes it will bring with it.

Last week Hillary Clinton appeared on the Tyra Banks show. When asked about the infamous Monica Lewinsky incident Hillary said that she had to “dig down hard” to get over the Monica Lewinsky affair of ten years ago, but that she “never doubted Bill’s love” or her “faith and commitment” to Chelsea and their extended family. Watch it after the jump.

Oh Boy. So people are still debating over whether or not Jennifer Love is fat or not.

According to Dr. Lionel Bissoon, Hewitt’s cellulite is not really cellulite ( you know the stuff you, me, and the rest of un famous America has). A press release yesterday stated “Dr. Bissoon describes Jennifer’s cellulite as being Functional cellulite or Celebrity cellulite. He coined these teams to describe cellulite which is only visible with certain activities such as walking, bending, twisting and sitting cross legged.”

Oh thank GOD! I was soooooooooo worried that J Love was indeed human, but luckily Bissoon alerted the media otherwise.

Are people really wasting their time writing press releases about somebodys ass?

What bothers me most is Jennifer Love Hewitt handled the situation gracefully. She addressed the issue on her blog and expressed her love for her body and encouraged others to love their bodies too. But the more the media pokes, the more she has to poke back and I fear we will witness another over-the-top Tyra Banks-esq “look how not fat I am” defense.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that when a male actor is photographed with his beer belly sagging it’s hardly even given a second thought.

Assuming her breasts are real, the Jennifer Love in the Hanes commercials is a voluptuous and fit woman. Watch as she acknowledges the frustration of finding a bra that will support such a hearty chest. It’s a very real moment for women (minus the cheesy music and goofy modeling), that moment where you must figure out how to work with your body shape.

So please, everyone, just let all us gals work with our shapes. Big or small, it is afterall what makes us each so unique.Aren’t there more important things the media can focus on?
