Anti-abortion advocates spun the theme from the kids flick “Horton Hears a Who!” to support their cause. The films motto: “After all, a person is a person, no matter how small” has now become some sort of pro-life proclamation causing protesters to rally at movie’s Hollywood premiere.

All hell broke loose at the Hollywood premiere of “Horton Hears a Who!” today when a group of pro-lifers infiltrated the screening, then chanted anti-abortion slogans after the flick. The stars in attendance included Victoria Beckham and her three kids, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, Steve Carell and all 12 contestants from “American Idol.”

After the chanting ended, the group put red tape over their mouths that said “Life” on them, and paraded around the event.

Soooo perhaps I’m a bit late in commenting on this but has anyone seen this Manhattan Mini Storage ad on the West Side Highway (near 42nd Street)?
Honestly, I’m surprised it’s up. After doing some research I found plenty of articles discussing how offended anti-abortion groups were by the ad. But what about pro-choice people? Are any of them offended?Because I’m pro-choice and I find the billboard to be quite tacky. I mean, I guess its great that a company is using it’s visability to point fingers at a social problem but the image of wire hanger? Really? It just makes me squrim. It also seems lame to associate abortion rights and closet space. Isn’t there a better way to address the issue of abortion rights? Then again, the idea of a woman’s rights being taken away is so obscene, perhaps some feel as though the only way to argue the pro-choice point is with obscenities as well.To learn more about abortion rights visit http://www.now.org/issues/abortion/.
