A while back I made mention of my love for the hit show Mortified. Well they’ve just released a very special new episode of The Mortified Shoebox Show titled “500 Miles to Hollywood.” In addition to being a very funny (and touching) piece from Mortified contributor Jason Smith, the episode features hilarious performances by Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings),James Denton (Desperate Housewives),Busy Phillips (Freaks & Geeks; ER), Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall) and Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds; Ray). While The Golden Compass continues to flounder here in the US (it should be noted that it is doing well overseas), New Line Cinema has moved on, putting months of bad press and legal battles to rest by making a deal with Peter Jackson and putting The Hobbit into production. He won’t be directing this go around, but he will be executive producer on the project and it’s sequel. I have a feeling the young man below will be quite excited:YouTube Preview Image
