This is him.John Coleman, the founder of the Weather Channel and meteorologist for one of my local news stations, spoke to the San Diego Chamber of Commerce (I believe) yesterday in order to discuss global warming.  Or, as far as he’s concerned, the lack thereof.  As Coleman states quite bluntly,

“There is no significant man made global warming.  There has not been any in the past, there is none now and there is no reason to fear any in the future.”

He can’t get much clearer than that.  The “silliness” of the global warming frenzy, as he calls it, is “an amazing fraud…a scam.”

I used this picture last time, too.Ring the bells and sound the alarms, it’s World Environment Day, today, right now!  Unless you’re in Australia, and it was yesterday, and you missed it.  Anyhow, to mark this extremely extreme occasion, I have penned some limericks.  Enjoy.

“I just have to say
We should have a whole day
Dedicated to making Earth green!”

[O]fficials say the Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to produce an opera on the international multiformat hit for the 2011 season at the Milan opera house. The composer is currently artistic director of the Arena in Verona. [ap.google.com]

Whether you’re backing Barack, holding up Hillary or maintaining for McCain, you probably can’t think of anyone better to head the EPA than Al Gore. Sadly, Al has dashed our dreams for such a prospect in an interview with the The Sun UK. Obama promised a cabinet position to Al Gore at the beginning of the month, but when asked about the offer in the interview, Gore had this to say:

I just saw the latest We Can Solve It commercial on TV (click here to view) featuring Reverend Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson. The commercial aims to prove that we can all come together to solve the climate crisis. The We Can Solve It campaign is a project of the The Alliance for Climate Protection a nonprofit, nonpartisan effort founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore. Their aim is to halt global warming and they are specifically educating people in the US and around the world that the climate crisis is both urgent and solvable.

Reverend Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson have different views on most issues, yet when it comes to the urgency of protecting the planet, they agree. At the taping of this clip, the two joked and prayed together. So the We Campaign asks, if these polar opposites can come together on this important and moral issue, why can’t you?
