The May/June AARP magazine features an interview with actress Jamie Lee Curtis about her upcoming 50th birthday and embracing the years ahead. To reflect her newfound comfort in her own skin, Curtis poses topless on the magazines cover which will be available March 24th on stands and online at www.aarpmagazine.com. The interview explores Jamie Lee’s views on life, aging, parenting and image. Curtis says:
“I want to be older. I actually think there’s an incredible amount of self-knowledge that comes with getting older. I feel way better now than I did when I was 20. I’m stronger, I’m smarter in every way, I’m so much less crazy than I was then.” [PR Newswire]
I love seeing an actress embrace the beauty that her aging body still holds. Curtis has never apologized for her age. At almost 40 years of age, she caused quite a stir when she performed that infamous strip tease in the film True Lies. She has also written five children’s books which explore topics such as self-esteem and self-awareness. Curtis inspires women of all ages to accept who they are and do what they love.

I have to say that although I believe in Jamie’s philosophy, she has convienently omitted the part of her numerous plastic surguries…..Hmmmm…..and aging naturally….means aging naturally right??? she’s a wonderful well meaning hypocrit…..but I love her chutzpah!
