Gwen Stefani has launched a massive online auction of memorabilia from her 2007 “Sweet Escape” World Tour, with all profits going to charity.
The Anaheim-raised singer has named two organizations based in her hometown as beneficiaries of the auction ” the Orangewood Children’s Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of Orange Count.
The auction, which can be accessed via Stefani’s eBay page, is being run in two waves ” the first wave ends on March 13, and the second wave finishes on March 20. Costumes and pieces of the stage set are all up for sale to the highest bidder, and some of the bids are very high already.
Stefani said:
“when I saw how successful the last charity auction was, and how supportive and excited the fans were to be a part of it, I thought it’d be great to do another one. To be able to share these amazing costumes with my fans and raise more money for CHOC and the Orangewood Foundation at the same time is very exciting.” [Ebay]
The Orangewood Children’s Foundation works closely with the Children’s Hospital of Orange Country to provide shelter to thousands of children who suffer neglect and abuse.
