A high school superintendent in the town of Choteau, Montana had to tell Nobel laureate climate scientist Steven W. Running that his presentation of “The Five Stages of Climate Grief” had to be cancelled after some residents in the rural, ag-oriented community objected that “no opposing view would be offered,” according to the New York Times.
I went into The Five Stages of Climate Fury myself after reading this, and I’m not the only one. Kip Barhaugh, a 17 year-old student who was looking forward to hearing Running speak, told the Times, “I was insulted as a high school student prepared to enter the world I need to hear both sides of the story”I don’t feel there is another side. Global warming is not a controversial issue, it’s a fact. We need to be prepared to deal with it.”
Unfortunately, as Stephen Colbert famously noted, facts have a liberal bias, which explains why so many conservatives continue to fiddle while the world burns.

I think the concept of man being responsible for the extinction of mankind, is so hard to face, many can’t look at the picture.
