Public Alpha: have suggestions or feedback?
It was only a matter of time - an angry baseball fan is suing their fav team, the Yankees, for the $221 dollars he spent on tickets between 2002-2007. He is suing “because the Yankees broke their implicit promise to provide a fair and honest game.”It will be interesting to see where this goes - who knows maybe I could sue the Yankees for all the times they beat my Cleveland Indians. I’m sure more appearances in the World Series would have helped Cleveland immensely, especially with the income those appearances would have generated.
Of course this isn’t the first baseball scandal and it won’t be the last. My favorite scandal (or maybe the most interesting) would have to be the White Sox scandal of 1919. Anyone interested should check out the John Sayles film Eight Men Out - click on the picture for a trailer. And speaking of John Sayles, if you’ve never heard of the fiercely independent filmmaker, you should click on the take action button and learn about how he has been finding ways to stay true to his vision while spending the least amount of money possible :

How can man compete on uneven playing fields without trying to use any advantage? I think it would be against his nature.
