As the Hannah Montana craze grows, so does the crazed actions of desperate mothers wanting to get their kiddies concert tix.

In Garland Texas, the 6-year-old girl who won four tickets to a Hannah Montana concert got her prize revoked after it was revealed the “winning” essay she read to win was a lie. The essay claimed that the little girls father Sgt Jonathon Menjivar,  had died in Iraq but the department of defense said it no record of anyone with that name dying in the war.

Now the mother, Pricilla Ceballo is defending her actions saying “We never said anything like this was a true story “” never. It was just an essay. We do essays all the time. It did not say that it had to be true.”

Oh come on! How could you not know that you couldn’t LIE on a contest entry? Just admit that you did something sneaky and sad to impress your kid! Be a grown-up and take responsibility for your actions.

Oh and that poor daughter! Officials of the Chicago-based chain surprised Ceballos’s daughter on Friday at a Club Libby Lu store in a mall in this Dallas suburb.The girl won a makeover that included a blonde Hannah Montana wig, as well as the grand prize: airfare for four to Albany, N.Y., and four tickets to the sold-out Hannah Montana concert on Jan. 9. And now that little girl has to give it all back. What a terrible experience for a little six-year-old girl. 

I understand that the mom was trying to make her daughter happy by winning tickets but I think honesty is a better gift to give your kid.

And don’t even get me started on the identity crisis I predict Miley Cyrus aka Miley Stewart will face as she continues to travel performing as both herself and as Hannah. Let’s just hope neither Miley nor Hannah gets knocked up like her fellow Disney produced divas.
